School Statement

Why did a recent book on international education call Dickinson "perhaps the most internationally minded" college in the United States? Because of the college's 35 international programs abroad and the way in which a global awareness is furthered throughout the curriculum. Dickinson faculty teach students to cross boundaries between academic disciplines and to engage the wider world. Backed by a network of alumni accomplishment, a Dickinson graduate ventures into the work world with an education that translates into a competitive edge and a mandate to lead and make a difference. This was articulated in Dickinson's 1783 charter and remains essential to the college's mission today.
