Bucknell offers an up-to-date view of computer science. Students can choose from among three computer science degrees — bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, and bachelor of science in computer science and engineering. The program offers the flexibility to combine computer science with other academic interests. Students emerge from the program well prepared to solve problems in an ever-changing technological world.

There are the special study options that always interest me: honors programs, independent study, internships, student-designed major, study abroad, etc. It's ranked 27th for liberal arts colleges in the U.S. The computer science department seems very solid and covers a lot. But, there is a major frat and sorority scene and not a lot of diversity. :(

Bucknell, a college-like university with 3, 450 undergraduates and 150 graduate students, combines the personal experience of an intimate liberal arts college and the wide choices offered by a larger university. Our Arts and Sciences and Engineering Colleges offer 53 programs of study. Bucknell students gain exceptional first-hand experience by collaborating with faculty on research projects.
